PEER-REVIEWED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PAPERS ILLUSTRATING THE EFFECTS OF GILLNETTING AND LONGLINING ON MARINE CREATURES AND HABITATS.
A foreign gill net caught by a Scottish trawler.
Governmental failure to monitor the fish being caught and landed by Spanish and French vessels working in UK fisheries means the scientific data used to calculate quota allocations is not based in reality. Furthermore, foreign fishing boats continue to use gill nets and long lines which kill of hundreds of thousands of marine creatures every year.
These peer-reviewed journal published research papers from scientific institutions and universities around the world provide data in support of our goal, to eradicate these barbaric catching methods in UK fisheries.
